How we started
The owner bought his first portable toilet unit and rented it to a contractor on a Saturday morning. That one unit became five, then twenty. Twenty years later Canton Porta Pros operates from a shop in Canton and serves the whole township and nearby towns like Westland (6.0 miles east) and Van Buren (6.8 miles south). We still answer the phone ourselves and we still show up for weekend emergencies because that's the job.
We stock standard units with 60 to 70 gallon holding tanks, deluxe units with flushing and sinks, and ADA accessible portable toilets that meet ADA Standards section 213.2 for clear door opening width. For bigger events and construction projects, we rent restroom trailers with running water and climate control. We pump septic tanks and holding tanks on a schedule that works for your property, residential tanks are typically pumped every 3 to 5 years depending on tank size and household size. Every roll-off dumpster we deliver needs about 60 feet of straight clearance behind the truck so we scout locations ahead and confirm access.
What we actually do
We show up early. A standard portable toilet is about 44 by 48 inches on the ground and stands about 92 inches tall, so we measure your site first and place units where they won't block traffic or deliveries. For construction crews, OSHA 1926.51(c)(1) requires one toilet facility for 20 workers or fewer, and we calculate what you need based on your crew size. We service every unit weekly by default, that's the baseline interval, and we pump septic tanks on the schedule that fits your house.
Handwashing stations we rent are stocked with soap and paper towels because 29 CFR 1910.141(d)(2) requires both. Hand sanitizer alone is not enough. If you're applying paints, coatings, herbicides or insecticides on a construction site, OSHA 1926.51(f)(1) requires washing facilities where employees are engaged in those operations. We make sure you're legal and your crew stays safe.
Our dumpster rental cost depends on size and how long you need it. We haul concrete, lumber, drywall and mixed debris. We also pump grease interceptors when fats, oils, grease and solids reach 25 percent of the liquid depth, restaurants and food trucks call us when the trap backs up. Storage containers we rent are locked, weather-tight and delivered to your driveway in Canton or nearby.

How fast can you deliver?
Same day in most cases. Call before noon on a weekday and we're at your Canton address by 4 p.m. Saturdays and emergency calls take longer but we don't turn them down.
Do you service other towns?
Yes. We operate across Canton and into Belleville (8.1 miles south), Garden City (8.4 miles east), and Ypsilanti (10.4 miles southwest). Call with your address and we'll quote it.
What's the difference between a standard and deluxe portable toilet?
Standard units have a seat and tank. Deluxe units have a foot-operated flush, a small sink, and a mirror. Deluxe costs more but feels like an actual bathroom. Compare them both.
Can I rent a portable toilet for just one day?
Yes. Daily rental costs more per day than weekly rental does per day, but we rent for any length. Most events rent for a weekend or a full week.
What happens if a septic tank overflows?
Call us first. We pump fast and we carry portable holding tanks if the main tank failed. We also diagnose what caused the backup so you don't call us again next month.
